I'm going to be real here and admit first off that our favourite part about our two weeks spent in Mexico was this apartment. That may seem strange, given the outrageously gorgeous surroundings we were so fortunate to be in, but omg this place. It was just something else.
The second part of our trip to Mexico saw us spending a week in Tulum, 1 1/2 hours south of Cancun. It's much more quaint, secluded and quiet when compared to Cancun. And a whole lot more breathtaking.
Throughout my final exams, I was so done. I couldn't see any end to the 12 hour days of hell. I craved sun, sand and sea. I needed something, anything to look forward to. Sam & I had already said we would have a summer holiday to celebrate me finishing, but the planning became such a wonderful distraction from revision.
The cotswolds is always a special place to visit. It's just so beautifully, absolutely, completely green. Such a perfect place to escape from everything. I never get tired of wandering through the villages, going on walks with no end point and spending nights cosied up in country pubs. Which is exactly what we did, for three whole days.
Ah, skyscanner. You are beyond addicting. Anytime I feel like I may have a couple of free days away from the hell of final year I'm scouring your pages for a little getaway to somewhere you decide. For this time, Luxembourg.
Paris, ah. There are minimal words to describe quite how beautiful it actually is. I mean, I've seen umpteen snaps before my swift 3 day trip, but until you're there & see it with your own two eye balls, it just doesn't quite capture the essence of it. I've been left completely in awe.
I'm not one to do things by halves. My ideal of a perfect day out is climbing some kind of mountain, being outside & exploring. So the fact I went to Dublin as a 'day out' sums this up. Flight out 7am, return flight 8pm. Hectic, intense & exciting.
